[ Only if he gets too close to the opening ledge. Putting him down on the floor. Be free. ]
These are all star charts. They map out all the stars that can be seen in the sky- [ There's a pause as he looks at them. ] Huh. I don't recognize any of these.
[ He doesn't know the name of stars, but he has a killer memory and none of these line up with what he remembers of the night sky. ]
Oh, so they're wrong? Wow, they should really be more careful about what they print
[ well, Missile will use his new freedom to wander up to Dazai while he complains about the star chart inaccuracies. which coincidentally triggers: the Mem Share! and what a Mem Share.
Missile and Sissel frantically jump around the room, from one object to another, making sure to stay completely still when the mean Sissel's back isn't turned. a way to save the Inspector... a way to save the Inspector..! but all too soon, the lamp swings around, knocking the gun from the Inspector's hand... into his murderer's.
Yes! Sissel and I can move into anything that has a core! My Tricks only work on things that have the same shape - like mean ol' Mino and a leaf - while Sissel can make them work and stuff! Like making a door open or a fan turn!
w3, monday
but also what if we're dead by thursday
Missile is hanging out on one of the steps of the astronomy tower. there's... so many of them. is this normal??? ]
Hi, Dazai... Do you know how far we are from the top? This walk is really rough on my paws.
[ definitely not designed with small doggos in mind ]

He looks at the steps. Looks at tiny dog legs. ]
This is going to take too long.
[ He's going to pick him up and head up the stairs. ]
Maybe we should see if they'll install a slide for you.
no subject
[ you know, until the speed of his slide shoots him out of the tower and splats him against the wall ]
What are you doing here? Are you looking for something?
no subject
I like the view up there.
[ Also there's pillows and blankets. ]
Did someone carry you up here before?
no subject
[ hmmm, does the saying about still apply if he's not a cat...? ]
Oh, do you know what all this stuff does? Not the pillows, of course, but everything else?

Missile has to do something... but... the problem hadn't been solved at all.
oops. ]
I THOUGHT I GOT THIS
[ Considering everything so far... he wouldn't be surprised.
And then he freezes in place as the memory happens. And that is a helmet flying at full speed
...
He doesn't know if he should laugh or not. ]
Is that what you meant by doing more while dead?
no subject
[ he sounds embarrassed ]
The moving things? Yes. The... smashing his face and killing the poor Inspector again? Not really.
no subject
not to comfort him or anything just because he felt like it ]
You did your best.
no subject
[ he accepts the pats gravely
and then perks right back up ]
We figured it out eventually though! And instead of the hard hat, we smacked him in the face with a beanie! He went flying head over heels!
no subject
[ Maybe marginally more so than the hard hat. ]
Is that how powers work there? You hop around and move things?
